As the early morning walks to work started to get chillier (and windier of course, duh this is New York) the colors that inspire me this fall season got warmer and much less bright, summer-crazy, neonesque. After a long shopping/styling research around New York City and 1 full hectic week spent at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, I decided that maroon would be my inspiration color for Fall 2012 season.
Bordeaux Series Episode 1
features a beautiful Stella McCartney ready-to-wear dress that's 100% wool with a touch of soft silk trimmings.
When you have such a simple yet elegant dress to work with, you can go crazy and combine it with casual items like riding boots to achieve an edgy look...
You can use black high heels for a more traditionally chic look just like Stella McCartney's stylers did for the runway show.
I personally prefer the edgy look.
The less traditional the better sometimes.
As for the accessories...
I used a pretty Fossil bag with folkloric patterns
And in case you're not in love with patterns, I also used a small leather clutch that I got from Istanbul years ago and
modified myself with a shiny old necklace.
This dress needs as little jewelry as possible so here you go,
Just a small touch of some Anthropologie awesomeness.
Whether you like classic or crazy, one thing is for sure,
this dress can appeal to both tastes.
Bordeaux Series Episode 2
will continue with new maroon shades from
Joe Fresh Fall 2012 Collection.
Do Stay Tuned.
